Burlington's Theater and Performing Arts Center

There is no dress code in your Burlington Capitol Theater. You should dress so that you are comfortable, understanding that this may mean jeans for one person and something more formal for another. Please consider the proximity of other patrons and avoid strong perfume or colognes which may be problematic for them.

In an effort to provide a quality experience for all patrons, late-comers will be seated in the back of the house until an appropriate spot where they may take their seat. In a musical performance, this might be at the end of a number, during the applause. In the case of a theatrical presentation, late-comers will be seated at intermission. There is no refund for any late-comer in disagreement with this policy.

We believe it is very important that children are exposed to the theatre at an early age. We cannot, however, allow the rest of the room to be uncomfortable in cases where children are not cooperative.

Everyone entering the theatre must have a ticket. Parents with babes in arms must sit in the back or on an aisle seat. No strollers are allowed in the auditorium. An usher will help you store yours until after the performance. Parents are asked to remove restless children from the theatre.

Patrons will be reminded to turn off their cell phones during performances. Text messaging during shows is as distracting as taking a phone call so if you must use any feature of your phone, we ask that you return to the lobby.

We defer to the wishes of our artists as it concerns the use of still camera photography. If it's OK with them, it's OK with us. However, there is no audio or video recording in compliance with copyright law.

Food and beverages are available through the concessions stand and the bar. Refreshments may be brought into the theatre during movies and performances. We appreciate it when people dispose of their own trash at the end of an event. Your Burlington Capitol Theater recycles so if you are unsure of where to place your empties, please see an usher.

The ticket office will be open 2 hours prior to curtain time. No purchases for other shows will be conducted at this time. The ticket office will remain open throughout intermission at which time, transactions for upcoming events may be made.

The Lost & Found is located in the ticket office. Items found will be held for two weeks at which time, unclaimed property will be donated or disposed of.
